Peter Allen “Captured Live At Carnegie Hall” 1985 Stereo Arista Rec Vinyl LP
Captured Live at Carnegie Hall is the second live album 33 rpm by Australian singer-songwriter Peter Allen, released in
1985. The album was recorded at Carnegie Hall, New York City on 20 and 21 September 1984 and featured 19
songs, 1 hour, 18 minutes, on a two-record set. It was recorded during Peter's sold-out
engagement, which included a midnight concert due to popular demand.
True Showman
Some artists are truly in their element on stage and Peter Allen was one of the best.
Each performance eclipses the studio recordings and you can feel the energy he
brought to the stage in every song. The between song banter is hilarious and
the emotion he brings to his own compositions is moving. "Quiet Please,
There's A Lady Onstage" and "Don't Cry Out Loud" are moving and
honest
moments rarely captured on record.
Gone way too soon, this is a wonderful document of a true artist at work.
