1978 'LORD OF THE RINGS' VINTAGE MOVIE POSTER REPRO 12"x18" | Framed/Alum/Glass

🎞️ A stunning reproduction of the 1978 The Lord of the Rings movie poster, featuring Gandalf with his glowing sword and two Hobbits in awe. Perfect wall art for Tolkien fans, fantasy collectors, and lovers of classic vintage movie illustration and epic adventure décor.

🎞️ Starring: William Squire, John Hurt, Christopher Guard, Michael Scholes, Simon Chandler, Dominic Guard

  John Hurt’s performance as Aragorn was widely praised for its gravitas and emotional weight.

  Anthony Daniels, famous for playing C-3PO in Star Wars, provided the voice of Legolas.

  The film used rotoscope animation, tracing over live-action footage, which gave the characters a distinctive, surreal realism.

  This movie was intended as Part 1 of a two-part adaptation, but the sequel was never completed — leaving the story unresolved.

🎞️ At the center stands Gandalf the Grey, a towering, mystical figure with a flowing white beard and a billowing cloak. He dramatically raises one hand toward the heavens while gripping a large, glowing sword that symbolizes power and destiny. The light from the sword radiates upward, illuminating Gandalf’s face and beard, creating a sense of awe and divine purpose.

🎞️ Below him, two hobbits—Frodo Baggins and Samwise Gamgee—gaze up at Gandalf in wonder. Frodo is shown on the left, crouched slightly, while Sam, wearing a red cloak, stands to the right, emphasizing the contrast between courage and innocence. The swirling, smoky sky and dramatic clouds create a sense of mythic tension, suggesting both danger and hope.
